In the midst of war
porch-delivery speech
from detachable teeth
great grandma's sound advice
"I'm too old for change,
but you either get used to it
or you die."
Flicked her cigar ashes
on the whitish dirty neighbor's dog
over the yelp, her battle cry
CHANGE OR DIE

Anyone read the Witches by Dahl? I kind of imagined that lady mixed with an old lady from a story I wrote long ago now.
Also, I hate those little dogs that always look dirty/smell like old lady perfume and are incidentally/usually owned by old ladies. Shitty little dogs.
